Fairmount Memorial Park

SPOKANE, WA

This is an interesting cemetery; there is one whole section called the ‘non-endowed’ section where people are buried and have markers, but the area is allowed to stay wild. There are weeds and trees and nothing is trimmed or mowed or groomed. It’s pretty awesome, actually. My friend Liz took us here when we visited her, and I loved this area.

The cemetery dates from 1888, and there are some mausoleums and such in the other areas, but this part was the best.
